Through bizzNEST, Digital NEST’s intern-powered digital media agency, interns produce work that drives client results, gain hands-on professional work experience, develop professional (soft) skills, and receive career coaching and mentorship to build the career of their dreams.

For many NESTers, this is their first paid, professional job and a great opportunity to earn money and build their portfolio while continuing their education. Interns may choose a focus in design, video, or web development.

Eligibility

  • Available to 18-24 year olds
  • No professional experience is required; some technical experience is desired. See internship job descriptions for more details.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US
  • Must be on site at a Digital NEST hubs: Watsonville, Salinas, Gilroy, Modesto or Stockton

  • General Interns: $17/hr, 15-20 hours/week
  • Senior Interns: $20/hr, 20-25 hours/week

What is the interview process like?

The interview process usually involves an online application, followed by a brief phone interview. Final candidates will be invited for an in-person interview at one of our centers to meet the team and learn more about the role.

How much experience do I need to have?

Applicants should have a basic understanding of the fundamentals for their chosen internship, but expertise is not required.

Do I have to be a member to apply?

No, you do not have to be a Digital NEST member to apply.

How long is the internship for?

The internship lasts one year, providing interns with ample time to develop new skills and gain real-world experience through bizzNEST projects.

Can I do multiple branches of bizzNEST?

Yes! Depending on project needs and availability, interns are encouraged to explore different branches within bizzNEST.

Can I work remotely?

No, internships are currently on-site only at one of our five centers. We believe working in person fosters stronger collaboration and hands-on learning.
